Development definitely has a lot of benefits...such as good paying jobs, and more money for government that can be used for education, health care, or social services. At the same time, the land is sacred to elders, because it has always provided for us...and given Inuit life. Many people want to make sure that the land is not touched by development, so traditional activities can continue. So, as a board member of the NPC, how can you make the best choices for how to use land in the future...when not everyone has the same ideas? (In other words...how are you as an NPC board member supposed to balance development with traditional land use?)
